Beauty Review: The BodyShop Vitamin C Skin Boost

I've been seriously getting happy heart attacks from getting good results from products with Vitamin C, haven't I? And it doesn't stop there.
And this gave me the biggest smile on my face yet. From recent review reading, I came across an article about glowing skin by Beetrice whose entry really persuaded me to hit The Body Shop Store.
In all honesty, I've never liked The Body Shop. Especially after trying out many of the products, led me into giving up on their whole range in all because none of them had worked out well for me.
This was taken from their website:
"How it works: - Antioxidant vitamin C brightens skin, encourages collagen production, improves elasticity, and works along with skin–softening vitamin E to neutralize free radicals and protect skin from environmental aggressors. - Community Trade sesame oil softens skin, restores suppleness and strengthens skin’s natural defense system. - Fragrant and refreshing essential oils of grapefruit and orange help to balance and revive the senses."
And I'm telling you today that it promises all of this. I used on the night that I first bought it, and I noticed immediate results the next day.
My face has never been so soft to touch, and my pigmentation became much lighter in colour, and some had just disappeared overnight. I knew that something was up and that my feelings were right when I read that review! And because I had been researching and reviewing on Vitamin C products for quite some time, but I had no idea that The Body Shop had enlisted a Vitamin C range- as I never walk into the shop. From this experience, it has definately changed my viewpoint of The Body Shop- so good job!
I treat this as a treatment serum, although I do use it every night, as the last thing I do before I sleep. It is in like a gel-type formula, and it smells absolutely lovely.. like rich vitamin C. When you put it on, it goes on smoothly, and because it is transparent and goes on like nothingless it feels like a primer. From then, your skin feels instantly soft to touch!
I have only been using this once a day as part of my daily routine and results have shown after a week. My facialist today even commented on my skin, how it looks so much better and how it looks more even toned than it did before. I don't have to use so much foundation now, as only a little coverage is needed.
It comes in a small cute orange signature bottle from Body Shop for about 16 GBP. I would say this has been the best buy of my whole beauty life so far. Cheap, and well worth it. Every single woman should own this.
Suitable for all skin types. Overal Rating 5/5 Pros: Lovely citrus smell, noticed results just after ONE USE. Pink pigmentation and blemishes reduced radically, skin is radiant, gives you luscious soft skin. Cons: No cons! | | | Posted 7/10/2008 6:59 PM - 1845 Views - 2 eProps - 1 Comment
